This Personal Information Protection Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Privacy Policy”) explains how GLOBERIDE, Inc. and its group companies (hereinafter referred to as “GLOBERIDE”) handle personal information entrusted to us by customers and business partners (hereinafter referred to as “Customers”, “You” or “Your”).
Before providing personal information to GLOBERIDE or engaging in transactions, purchasing or using services or products from GLOBERIDE, please read this Privacy Policy carefully.
This Privacy Policy provides a basic overview of how GLOBERIDE handles Customers’ personal information.
In addition, depending on the location of the Customer, other policies and regulations may apply to transactions and purchases of services and products from GLOBERIDE. Specific details will be provided in the privacy notice (“Privacy Notice”) and Terms of Service.
For Customers located in Japan, personal information in this Privacy Policy refers to information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, or other identifier, or that contains an individual identification code.

2. Scope of Application
This Privacy Policy applies when You provide personal information to GLOBERIDE and when You engage in transactions or use products and services from GLOBERIDE.
3. Purpose of Use of Personal Information
GLOBERIDE uses Your personal information for the following purposes. Even within the scope of these purposes, we will not use Your personal information in a way that may promote or induce illegal or improper activities.
- Sale and provision of GLOBERIDE products, services, and related goods.
- Review and analysis of the purchase and usage status of GLOBERIDE products, services, and related goods.
- All operations incidental or related to items 1 and 2 above.
- Conducting surveys of GLOBERIDE products, services, and related goods.
- Development of new products, services, and related goods.
- To contact You regarding GLOBERIDE products, services, and related goods.
- Planning and management of various activities handled by GLOBERIDE and its external subcontractors or partner companies (such as events and campaigns).
- Providing information regarding the services, products, events, and campaigns handled by GLOBERIDE and GLOBERIDE’s external subcontractors or partner companies, through various methods, including direct mail, email newsletters, notifications, and advertisements.
- Personal information about Customers (such as analytical data on the usage status of GLOBERIDE's services and products and browsing history of websites and mobile apps operated by GLOBERIDE) may be analysed using AI and other technologies. This is used to infer Customers’ interests, preferences, purchasing trends, and attributes. Based on the results of this analysis, we may use this information for initiatives such as targeted advertising and marketing to Customers. The use of personal information will be conducted in accordance with lawful and appropriate procedures, and specific details are provided in the Privacy Notice and Terms of Service.

- Other purposes explained in "8. Joint Use".
4. Personal Information Collected
To achieve the purposes outlined in the previous section, GLOBERIDE will collect the following personal information from Customers through fair and appropriate means.
(1) Personal information, contact information, and payment information
Customer name, address, telephone number, fax number, email address, and payment details, such as credit/debit card.
(2) Membership and service usage information related to GLOBERIDE products
Customer identification number and associated profile information required for membership services provided by GLOBERIDE.
(3) Content of inquiries and opinions provided to GLOBERIDE
Voice recordings and other information that may include the Customer’s name and from which it is assumed a specific individual may be identifiable.
- GLOBERIDE may monitor, record, store, and use communications with Customers by telephone, email, etc., to confirm requests and instructions from Customers, for training on organisational measures, for security purposes, and to improve the service quality to Customers. The use of such information will be specified individually and appropriately in a lawful manner.
(4) IT and system information including usage of GLOBERIDE's website and mobile apps
Information on the usage of websites and mobile apps managed by GLOBERIDE, such as cookies, advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID), device location information, unique device ID, IP address, OS and browser types, and browsing activity logs, which may allow GLOBERIDE to identify specific individuals.
(5) Handling of Sensitive Personal Information
GLOBERIDE will not collect or use sensitive personal information about Customers (hereinafter referred to as "sensitive information"), such as race, creed, social status, medical history, criminal record, or the fact of having suffered damage by a crime, except as required by law or with the consent of the Customer.
5. Collection of Information Related to Personal Information
GLOBERIDE may obtain information related to personal information directly from Customers or receive such information from third parties or our group companies. In this Privacy Policy, information related to personal information means information relating to a living individual that does not fall under the definitions of personal information, pseudonymized personal information, or anonymized personal information as defined in Japan's "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" (Act No. 57 of 2003).

Information such as cookies, advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID), device location information, unique device ID, IP address, etc., as outlined in “4. IT and System Information Including Usage of GLOBERIDE’s Website and Mobile Apps,” which cannot be used by GLOBERIDE to identify a specific individual.

Obtaining an advertising identifier from third parties or our group companies for the purpose of targeted advertising. If GLOBERIDE links this information with the personal information it holds about the Customer and uses it as personal information, we will obtain the consent of the Customer and handle it appropriately in accordance with the purposes outlined in “3. Purpose of Use of Personal Information,” except where another purpose is indicated.

6. Customer Choices
In general, providing personal information to GLOBERIDE is decided by the Customer. However, if You do not provide personal information to us, You may be unable to use the various services provided by GLOBERIDE, or some system functions may not operate and You may be unable to use those functions. For example, Customers may be disadvantaged by not being able to receive information, such as campaigns from GLOBERIDE. In addition, Customers may correct and amend their contact information and subscriptions to email newsletters at any time, within reasonable limits, using methods separately provided by GLOBERIDE.
7. Disclosure and Provision to Third Parties
(1) When GLOBERIDE discloses or provides Customers’ personal information to third parties
GLOBERIDE will not disclose or provide Your personal information to third parties except in the following cases. In addition, personal information, including sensitive information, will not be obtained or disclosed or provided to third parties under any circumstances, unless required by law or with the Customer’s consent. Please note if the information is provided through joint use or outsourcing, it is legally exempt and does not constitute disclosure or provision to third parties.
- When there is consent from the Customer.
- When disclosure or provision is required by law.
- When it is necessary to protect the life, well-being, or property of the Customer and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the Customer.
- When it is necessary to cooperate with the national or local government in the execution of public affairs and obtaining consent from the Customer is likely to interfere with the execution of such affairs.
- When disclosing or providing statistical data (information that does not identify the Customer).
- When personal information is provided in connection with a business succession due to a merger, company split, business transfer, or other circumstance.
- When providing personal information in accordance with the procedure under law, provided that the Customer can easily verify the following information on GLOBERIDE’s website in advance, and there is no indication of refusal from the Customer:
- That the purpose of use is to provide personal information to a third party.
- The details of the personal data to be provided to third parties.
- The means or manner in which it will be provided to third parties.
- If there is a request from a Customer, it will cease to provide the information to a third party.
- The means of receiving the Customer’s request.
(2) Where GLOBERIDE discloses or provides Customers’ personal information to third parties
GLOBERIDE may disclose personal information to the following types of recipients:
- Affiliated Companies, etc.
GLOBERIDE may disclose personal information to companies within our group and related organisations. - Employees
GLOBERIDE may disclose personal information to employees who have the authority and the need to access such information. - Service Providers
GLOBERIDE may disclose collected personal information to service providers, such as IT service providers (including telecommunications and server environment service providers and cloud service providers), data analytics service providers, advertising distribution service providers, and professional service providers, such as legal advisors.
8. Joint Use
GLOBERIDE will jointly use Customers’ personal information for the following purposes and scope.

9. Outsourcing Business Operations
To provide and sell GLOBERIDE products, services, and related goods to Customers, GLOBERIDE may outsource part or all of its operations and provide personal information to sub-contractors to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use. When doing so, we will conduct an impact analysis on the handling of Customers’ personal information by the subcontractor, enter into a contract to ensure appropriate protective measures and supervision, and manage and supervise the subcontractor in a lawful and appropriate manner.
10. Transfers Outside of Japan
GLOBERIDE may transfer Your personal information (name, address, telephone number, email) outside of Japan to provide and sell GLOBERIDE products, services, and related goods. The countries or regions to which Your personal information is transferred may not have personal information protection systems equivalent to those in Japan.
When GLOBERIDE provides Customers' personal information to third parties outside of Japan, including subcontractors and joint users, it will do so based on the Customer’s consent, except in the following cases:
In the case of 2., GLOBERIDE will take necessary and appropriate measures to ensure continuous implementation of the equivalent measures by third parties. If You wish to confirm the details of these measures, please make a request in accordance with “12. Requests Regarding the Handling of Personal Information.”
When GLOBERIDE provides Customers' personal information to third parties outside of Japan, including subcontractors and joint users, it will do so based on the Customer’s consent, except in the following cases:
- When the third party is located in a country that is recognised by law as a country that has a personal information protection system of an equivalent standard to that of Japan.
- When the third party has established a system as necessary to continuously take measures equivalent to the measures to be taken by a business handling personal information in Japan.
In the case of 2., GLOBERIDE will take necessary and appropriate measures to ensure continuous implementation of the equivalent measures by third parties. If You wish to confirm the details of these measures, please make a request in accordance with “12. Requests Regarding the Handling of Personal Information.”
11. Management of Personal Information
GLOBERIDE appropriately supervises and manages the personal information of its Customers, and takes the necessary security measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage. To ensure the protection and appropriate handling of Customers' personal information, GLOBERIDE provides the necessary internal training for officers and employees, sets retention periods for personal information according to the purpose of use, and disposes of it appropriately once the purpose of use is achieved.

12. Requests Regarding the Handling of Personal Information
For personal information held and stored in GLOBERIDE’s database, if a Customer requests disclosure, correction, addition, cease of use, deletion or provision of information regarding personal information protection measures related to “10. Transfer Outside of Japan” and “11. Management of Personal Information” (hereinafter referred to as “disclosure, etc.”), GLOBERIDE will confirm that the person making the request is the customer themselves and respond within a reasonable period and scope in accordance with the law.
(1) Request for disclosure
We will disclose the items of personal information, the purpose of use, or record of provision to third parties as requested by the Customer.
(2) Requests for correction, deletion or addition
We will confirm the details of the Customer’s request and correct, delete, or add to the Customer’s personal information to the extent that it is appropriate and feasible.
(3) Requests for cease to use or deletion
In accordance with the Customer’s request, we will cease to use or delete the specified items of personal information to the extent appropriate and feasible. Please note when making a request that by suspending use or deleting personal information, we may not be able to provide services that were previously available or services that meet Your needs.
(4) Request for information on personal information protection measures
In accordance with the Customer’s request, we will provide You with information about:
- Details of the security management measures taken by GLOBERIDE when handling Customers' personal information.
- Details of the measures taken by GLOBERIDE to provide Customers' personal information to third parties outside of Japan (if applicable under 2. of "10. Transfer outside Japan").
13. Method for Requesting Disclosure, etc. and Contact Point for Inquiries
The method of requesting disclosure, etc. or notification of the purpose of use, etc. regarding personal information entrusted to GLOBERIDE by Customers, and the contact point for inquiries are as follows.
